Hawaii
Recently, a friend of mine messaged me about an image from Hawaii he had seen, that at some point in the past, I posted to social media. I was not sure what image he was referencing so I went back looking through my catalog to see if I could figure out which photo he was interested in. Since I am overdue for a post I thought I would revisit my Hawaii catalog and post a few images here. The majority of these images have not previously been shared.
While I've been gone from Hawaii now longer than I lived there, it does not seem like that is the case. I will always find Hawaii to be a place where I was really comfortable living. It's hard not to like Hawaii, but some people do not. I always felt like Hawaii was a good fit for me. The longer I am away the more I think this is true. Anyway, enough reminiscing, let's get to some of the photos. I hope you enjoy looking. Aloha.
Maui
The first image is from a popular beach on the south shore of Maui near Wailea and Mekena.
The next image is a hibiscus flower, also taken on Maui. When we got married we found a place to stay that was so relaxing. The property was full of beautiful flowers. I took the image below of a hibiscus on the property of that house.
The Big Island
The next few shots are all from the Big Island of Hawaii. The first is of a wild/feral sheep at the Pu'u Wa'awa'a Forest Reserve. The sheep just seems to fit into it's environment and I kind of dig that.
The next picture is a shot I took at sunset in Kona. I took it on the same night that I took the shot I have for sale titled
Sunset At The Well. The night I took these shots (and others) was one of the most incredible sunsets I have ever seen. As I was waiting for the sun to set, I sort of thought it was going to be a dud, then all of a sudden the sky absolutely erupted into color. A wonderful memory for my wife and I.
Finally, the third and last shot (today) from the Big Island is an image of where the ocean meets the land in Pololū Valley. Pololū Valley is beyond words, tranquil and idyllic is an understatement.
Oahu
The remainder of the images are from Oahu.
The first is from an incredible beach and setting on the east side. The atmosphere over the
Koʻolau Range is what I love the most about this shot. I took this shot at the same beach where I took the shot titled Iron Light.
The next two shots feature what is likely my favorite trees on the entire island. It is a lone monkeypod tree on a point on the ocean.
A palmed lined road on the North Shore.

Diamond Head in the distance and the eastern flanks of the Ko'olau Mountains in the foreground on a crystal clear morning.

My favorite south shore beach park at sunset.

Rabbit Island at sunrise on a morning with incredible atmospheric conditions.
